Detects modifications to specific registry keys under the 'Classes' hive that are commonly used as autostart extensibility points (ASEPs). These modifications can be used by adversaries to establish persistence or elevate privileges by ensuring their code executes automatically.
Detects a phishing attack which expands a ZIP file containing a malicious shortcut.
If the victim expands the ZIP file via the explorer process, then the explorer process expands the malicious ZIP file and drops a malicious shortcut redirected to a backdoor into the Startup folder.
Additionally, the file name of the malicious shortcut in Startup folder contains {0AFACED1-E828-11D1-9187-B532F1E9575D} meaning the folder shortcut operation.

Detects the suspicious execution of a utility to convert Windows 3.x .grp files or for persistence purposes by malicious software or actors
Detects persistence registry keys for Recycle Bin
Detects the creation or modification of specific files identified as indicators of compromise (IOCs) used by UNC4841 in their exploitation of Barracuda ESG appliances. These files are associated with various stages of the attack, including persistence, execution, and defense evasion.
Detects scenarios where an attacker loads a malicious SSP (Security Support Provider) into the LSA process. Note that this rule will not work with "in memory" SSP injection (Mimikatz) as no event will be triggered.
Akira SonicWall Campaign - Detects the creation or presence of malicious drivers (hlpdrv.sys, rwdrv.sys) or the creation of their associated Windows services.
Detects suspicious driver loads indicative of rootkits or BYOVD attacks. Flags unsigned/non-Microsoft drivers loaded from temp paths or by unusual processes. Targets random-named drivers (e.g., 'a1b2c3.sys'), known vulnerable drivers, and system driver impersonators.
Detects potentially malicious or suspicious launchd entries that are not part of the default macOS system, often used for persistence. This rule is designed to be applied to Plaso output.
Detects modifications to specific registry keys under `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control` that are commonly used for autostart extensibility points (ASEPs). This includes keys related to Terminal Services, Security Providers, Safe Boot, Print Monitors/Providers, Network Provider Order, and LSA Authentication/Notification Packages. Such modifications can be indicative of persistence mechanisms used by adversaries.
Detects the modification of Group Policy Objects (GPO) to add a startup/logon script to users or computer objects.

Detects persistence registry keys for Recycle Bin
Detects when a possible suspicious driver is being installed via pnputil.exe lolbin
Detects creation/modification of Assistive Technology applications and persistence with usage of 'at'
'Shows the rarest processes seen running for the first time. (Performs best over longer time ranges - eg 3+ days rather than 24 hours!)
These new processes could be benign new programs installed on hosts;
However, especially in normally stable environments, these new processes could provide an indication of an unauthorized/malicious binary that has been installed and run.
Reviewing the wider context of the logon sessions in which these binaries ran can provide a good starting point for identifying possible attacks.'

'Detects a successful logon by a privileged account from an ASN not logged in from in the last 14 days.
Monitor these logons to ensure they are legitimate and identify if there are any similar sign ins.'
