Detects mail redirection on Zimbra Collaboration. Zimbra is widely deployed in
government, education and smaller enterprises, has been the subject of repeated
mass-exploitation campaigns, and is rarely covered by commercial detection content —
the combination makes it a persistent soft target.
Redirection is the standard persistence on a compromised mailbox: it survives
password resets and quietly copies correspondence onward.
Onboarding: ZIMBRA is ingested via Syslog (Bloo extractor 123).
Integration guide: https://bloo.io/docs/hypercloud/syslog-connector
BQL (Bloo Query Language):
stream=email-gateway where sourcename='ZIMBRA' and action='EMAIL_REDIRECTED'

Detects an export from Zendesk. Support platforms accumulate exactly what an
attacker wants for the next stage — customer names, contact details, account
references, and the content of conversations in which people routinely paste
things they should not. An export takes all of it at once.
Onboarding: ZENDESK is ingested via NXLog (Bloo extractor 831).

Detects mail being redirected to an external recipient. Redirection rules are the
classic persistence mechanism on a compromised mailbox: they survive password resets,
require no further access, and quietly copy correspondence to the attacker for as
long as they remain in place.
This is among the most under-monitored controls in most estates, because the rule is
set once and never fires an alert again.
Onboarding: MS-EXCHANGE is ingested via Syslog (Bloo extractor 142).

Detects extensive file access on the NAS from a source address without prior
history. Shared storage holds concentrated value, and bulk reads from an unfamiliar
origin is the reconnaissance-then-collection pattern applied to a file share.

The following analytic detects the execution of the macOS osascript utility with AppleScript commands that display a dialog or alert containing potentially deceptive, credential-related, or security-themed content.
Adversaries may abuse osascript to present fake system messages or credential prompts and trick users into disclosing sensitive information.
This detection is based on command-line content and should be reviewed with the parent process, executing user, script content, and surrounding endpoint activity.

Detects one account downloading many files through GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer.
MFT platforms sit between organisations and hold exactly the data worth stealing —
payment files, payroll, partner exchanges — and have been the target of mass

Detects export of the Atlassian audit log. An export hands over the full record of
who did what across the tenant, which is reconnaissance of the administrative
landscape and, in the wrong hands, a map of which accounts are worth targeting.
Rare enough in normal operation that each occurrence can be confirmed individually.

Detects repositories being downloaded. Source code is intellectual property and
frequently contains embedded secrets, infrastructure detail and the logic of the
security controls themselves. Bulk download by one actor is the clearest signal of
code theft, whether by a departing engineer or a compromised account.

Detects a message having its recipient altered during processing. Recipient
rewriting redirects mail away from its intended reader, and is a quiet way to
intercept correspondence or to suppress a notification that would otherwise reveal
an ongoing compromise.

Detects a pattern of previewing many files then downloading a subset. This is
browsing behaviour — an intruder assessing what is worth taking before taking it —
and it differs from normal use, where a user opens files they already know about.
The preview-to-download ratio is the discriminator, not the raw volume of either.

Detects a single Box account downloading an unusually high number of distinct files
in a short window. This is the clearest signal of data theft from cloud storage,
whether by a departing employee or an attacker using a compromised account.
Baseline per role before deployment: sales and legal teams legitimately pull large
document sets, while most users download a handful of files a day.

Detects a Box account accessed from a source address with no prior history, followed
by substantial download activity. The combination is far stronger than either signal
alone: a new location by itself is routine for mobile users, and downloads by
themselves are routine for everyone.

Detects Gryxa staging behavior where files are written across 2 or more distinct toolkit directories (such as WinRTCS, WER .wucache, and Diagnosis .etlcache) within a 1-hour window on a single device.
The following analytic detects a high volume of Amazon CloudWatch Logs read operations performed by the same AWS principal and account within a
five-minute period.
It identifies more than 500 DescribeLogGroups, DescribeLogStreams, DownloadLogEvents, FilterLogEvents, GetLogEvents, or GetQueryResults API calls.
This activity may indicate automated discovery or collection of operational, application, or security telemetry from CloudWatch Logs.

Detects Chrome or Edge being launched in headless mode with the
remote debugging port flag enabled. msaRAT (Chaos ransomware) uses this to spawn
a hidden browser instance it then manipulates via Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP)
to inject JavaScript, hijack browser functionality, and build a covert WebRTC
C2 channel that never touches the network directly from the malware process.

Detects the sequential relationship of data staging using tools like WinRAR and subsequent exfiltration using tools like Rclone, WinSCP, or FileZilla on a single host within a 24-hour window.
Detects the execution of archiving utilities (7z, rar, tar, or Compress-Archive) targeting configuration directories of AI coding assistants such as Claude, Codex, Cursor, and Gemini.
Detects post-exploitation activities associated with FortiMail vulnerability CVE-2026-104286 (FG-IR-26-175). The rule identifies potential unauthorized persistence and data exfiltration, including the creation or modification of archive accounts with remote destinations, execution of 'migadmin' via root cron, and specific admin logout anomalies.
Detects data staging and exfiltration preceding Play double extortion: WinRAR/RAR adding files to an archive (recursive or password-protected) followed within 4 hours by a WinSCP transfer from the same host and user.
Detects access to files hosted on a decoy share. Decoy shares carry inviting names and
plausible content but hold nothing real and are linked from nowhere, so a file open is
deliberate discovery rather than a user stumbling into the wrong folder.
Which file was opened is itself intelligence: it indicates what the intruder is
looking for, and that shapes where you look next in the real estate.
Onboarding: SMOKESCREEN is ingested via Syslog (CEF) (Bloo extractor 206).
Integration guide: https://bloo.io/docs/hypercloud/syslog-connector

Detects processes accessing sensitive files and configurations associated with multiple AI coding assistants (such as Claude, Codex, Grok, and Cursor) within a short time window, potentially indicating unauthorized access or credential theft from AI tools.
