This rule detects multiple access attempts to administrative SMB shares (C$, D$, E$, ADMIN$, IPC$) from a single source IP address within a 5-minute window. This behavior can be indicative of lateral movement, reconnaissance, or ransomware activity attempting to spread across a network by accessing critical shares.
