Detects the weakening of "Block Public Access" setting of S3 buckets in CloudTrail logs.
Monitoring changes to Block Public Access settings is critical, as attackers may disable these safeguards before exposing a bucket through a public ACL or bucket policy.

Detects a burst of uploads to Box from a single account. Where mass download suggests
theft from the platform, a mass upload suggests the platform is being used as the
staging point — data collected elsewhere in the estate being moved into cloud storage
the attacker controls or can reach from outside.

Onboarding: BOX is ingested via Box native connector (Bloo extractor 711).
Integration guide: https://bloo.io/docs/hypercloud/box-connector

BQL (Bloo Query Language):

stream=documents where sourcename='BOX' and action='UPLOADED'
| duration 1h
| groupby user, srcip
| select user, srcip, count(*) as cnt
| having cnt > 40

Detects a Box file or folder being made publicly accessible. Public sharing turns an
internal document into an internet-reachable URL, and is both a common accidental
data exposure and a deliberate low-friction exfiltration route that generates no
outbound traffic from the corporate network.

The Visibility field carries the change, which makes this directly detectable rather
than inferred.

Onboarding: BOX is ingested via Box native connector (Bloo extractor 711).
Integration guide: https://bloo.io/docs/hypercloud/box-connector

stream=documents where sourcename='BOX'

Hunting query, not intended as a scheduled alert.

Tested in a live Sentinel tenant with a test file. Copilot Cowork and Claude Code folder conventions not validated with live events; the Tool column is a label only and does not filter results. Matches files named SKILL.md in OneDrive and SharePoint only; local-only files and marketplace plugin skills are not visible.

The following analytic detects the creation of open/public S3 buckets via the AWS CLI.
It leverages AWS CloudTrail logs to identify events where a user has set bucket permissions to allow access to "AuthenticatedUsers" or "AllUsers." This activity is significant because open S3 buckets can expose sensitive data to unauthorized users, leading to data breaches.
If confirmed malicious, an attacker could gain unauthorized access to potentially sensitive information stored in the S3 bucket, posing a significant security risk.

This rule detects anomalous activity associated with the Antino backdoor, which uses Microsoft OneDrive as a dead-drop command-and-control (C2) channel. It identifies specific file paths related to heartbeat check-ins, operator tool drops, and exfiltration retrieval, summarizing events by user and IP to highlight potential malicious persistent communication and data transfer patterns.

Detects malicious attempts to delete or modify the access control settings of centralized cloud audit log storage, such as S3 buckets, Azure Log Analytics workspaces, or GCP log buckets. These actions aim to impair visibility into an adversary's activities, a common step in anti-forensics and data destruction workflows.

Detects the modification of an Azure Storage account configuration to enable public access (allowBlobPublicAccess: true). This activity is often associated with attackers attempting to facilitate anonymous data exfiltration by enabling public access to blobs and subsequently reading them.
