Detects a pattern of lease denials consistent with DHCP starvation, where an attacker
requests leases until the pool is empty so that legitimate devices cannot obtain an
address. It is typically a precursor to a rogue DHCP server taking over address
assignment and redirecting traffic.
Onboarding: WIN-DHCP is ingested via Syslog (Bloo extractor 79).
Integration guide: https://bloo.io/docs/hypercloud/syslog-connector
BQL (Bloo Query Language):
stream=dhcp where sourcename='WIN-DHCP' and action='IP_LEASE_DENIED'
| duration 10m
| groupby macaddress
| select macaddress, count(*) as cnt
| having cnt > 20

Detects clusters of unreachable-service and no-connector-available events. Where
these concentrate on one application they suggest the connector serving it has been
disrupted — which, during an intrusion, denies access to the application while the
outage is treated as an infrastructure problem rather than a security one.
Onboarding: ZSCALER-SPA is ingested via the Zscaler connector (Bloo extractor 176).
Integration guide: https://bloo.io/docs/integrations
BQL (Bloo Query Language):
stream=zpa-connector where sourcename='ZSCALER-SPA'
and action in ('SERVICE_NOT_REACHABLE', 'NO_CONNECTOR_AVAILABLE')
| duration 15m
| groupby app, reason
| select app, reason, count(*) as cnt

Detects potential exploitation of a SAML-related vulnerability in Citrix NetScaler appliances by correlating a surge in SAML authentication traffic to Gateway/AAA endpoints followed by application crashes or core dumps on the device. This behavioral pattern is indicative of a crash-inducing exploitation attempt targeting SAML processing.
Detects high Ollama API request volumes from a single client in a short time window. A burst may indicate automated abuse or contribute to resource contention, but GIN access logs do not establish malicious intent or service impact; validate the client and workload against local usage baselines.
Detects high-volume email inflow to a single recipient mailbox within a 15-minute timeframe. The rule specifically monitors for subject lines commonly associated with subscription confirmations or newsletters, indicating a potential email bombing or mail flood attack designed to overwhelm a user's inbox or hide malicious communications.
Detects high-volume POST requests containing HEIF, HEIC, or AVIF image content types, indicative of automated fuzzing or exploitation attempts against an image-processing endpoint targeting CVE-2026-32882.
Detects high-volume activity (BLOCK or COUNT actions) from the AWS Shield Advanced managed DDoS protection rule set within a 1-minute time window. The rule alerts on potential Layer 7 DDoS attacks by monitoring for significant spikes in event volume or the number of unique source IP addresses targeting a specific AWS WAF Web ACL.
Detects high-volume POST requests containing HEIF, HEIC, or AVIF image content types, indicative of automated fuzzing or exploitation attempts against an image-processing endpoint targeting CVE-2026-32882.

Detects executable files containing XOR-obfuscated strings associated with BabylonRAT capabilities, including browser credential theft, keylogging, HOSTS file manipulation, DDoS, and remote dynamic API resolution. This rule identifies patterns commonly used to evade static analysis.
Detects anomalous TCP stream reassembly where overlapping segments contain different data. This technique is often used to bypass Network Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) by presenting different data to the target system than what the IDS inspects.

Possible DDoS botnet outbound flood burst from infected host
Detects high-volume outbound SYN packet bursts from internal hosts to external networks, excluding known service ports. This behavior is indicative of a compromised host acting as part of a botnet conducting a SYN flood Denial of Service attack.
This rule detects a high volume of UDP network connections originating from a single process on a device. A count exceeding 50 UDP connections from the same process to the same remote IP address is considered anomalous and could indicate a UDP flood or other denial-of-service attempt.
Detects an unusually high volume (100 or more within an hour) of API calls (POST, DELETE, PUT methods to URIs containing 'api') originating from a single IP address. This activity could indicate various malicious behaviors such as brute-force attacks, credential stuffing, web application attacks, or a denial-of-service attempt against the API endpoint.

Detects HTTP flood application layer DDoS attacks
IoT botnet malware family used for DDoS and proxy infrastructure
Detects indicators associated with the JDY botnet targeting SOHO and IoT infrastructure. The rule monitors for suspicious firmware update attempts to non-vendor hosts, identifies high-rate outbound scanning from edge devices, and flags devices that show re-emergence of suspicious behavior after a quiet period.
