An adversary may use legitimate desktop support and remote access software, such as Team Viewer, Go2Assist, LogMein, AmmyyAdmin, etc, to establish an interactive command and control channel to target systems within networks.
These services are commonly used as legitimate technical support software, and may be allowed by application control within a target environment.
Remote access tools like VNC, Ammyy, and Teamviewer are used frequently when compared with other legitimate software commonly used by adversaries. (Citation: Symantec Living off the Land)

Detects a process memory dump via "comsvcs.dll" using rundll32, covering multiple different techniques (ordinal, minidump function, etc.)
Detects Clfs.sys being loaded by a process running from a potentially suspicious location. Clfs.sys is loaded as part of many CVEs exploits that targets Common Log File.
Detects a non-browser process interacting with the Google API which could indicate the use of a covert C2 such as Google Sheet C2 (GC2-sheet)
Detects ADDInternals Cmdlet execution. A tool for administering Azure AD and Office 365. Which can be abused by threat actors to attack Azure AD or Office 365.

Detects network connections initiated by 'dfsvc.exe', which is responsible for handling ClickOnce applications, to non-local IP addresses. This activity can be indicative of malicious ClickOnce abuse for trusted code execution, especially when connecting to external or unexpected destinations.
Detects network connections made by non-browser processes to public IP lookup services. This activity can indicate an adversary performing discovery to understand the external IP address of a compromised system, often as a post-compromise internet connectivity test or for reconnaissance purposes.
Detects instances where an MSSQL service on an OpenCanary honeypot has had a login attempt using SQL Authentication. This indicates an adversary is attempting to brute-force or test credentials against the honeypot's emulated MSSQL service.
Detects instances where an attacker attempts to interact with or exploit a REDIS service running on an OpenCanary honeypot. This indicates reconnaissance or an attempt to gain unauthorized access or extract data from the emulated Redis service.
