Detects user sign-ins using the OAuth 2.0 Device Code authentication flow in Entra ID. This flow, designed for input-constrained devices, is frequently abused by attackers in 'Device Code Phishing' (or ARToken) campaigns to steal session tokens and bypass MFA by tricking users into authorizing a malicious application via a web portal.
Detects suspicious Entra ID device registration and Primary Refresh Token (PRT) issuance occurring shortly after an OAuth Device Code sign-in. This pattern is indicative of ARToken-style post-compromise persistence, where an attacker leverages a stolen device code to register a rogue device and establish a persistent session.
Detects outbound email replies concerning invoices or payments sent by a user shortly after performing a device-code authentication flow, indicative of an ARTSender proxy attack where the attacker hijacks an existing email conversation to conduct Business Email Compromise (BEC).
Detects DLL injection into browser processes (chrome.exe or msedge.exe) followed by the invocation of the browser's Elevation Service 'DecryptData' function, a behavior characteristic of the Rapuncel credential stealer attempting to bypass app-bound encryption.
Detects anomalous device-code authentication attempts from multiple distinct users originating from known ARToken PhaaS platform egress IP addresses within a 3-day window. This behavior is indicative of a bulk token-capture operation, where an attacker leverages an Adversary-in-the-Middle (AiTM) phishing framework to harvest credentials and session tokens from multiple users.
Detects outbound network traffic to a known malicious IP address associated with Rapuncel Stealer, specifically looking for HTTP POST requests to the /upload endpoint, indicating possible data exfiltration.
Detects network activity associated with the EtherHiding technique, where adversaries leverage the Polygon blockchain to resolve command-and-control (C2) infrastructure and communicate with malicious smart contracts. This rule identifies specific JSON-RPC requests ('eth_call') using SloppyRAT contract selectors and DNS queries for blockchain-related RPC endpoints.
Detection of network traffic associated with the delivery of the Rapuncel information stealer. The rules monitor for large ZIP archives masquerading as LastPass Authenticator installers and detect attempts to reach out to external domains for DLL sideloading artifacts (TitanStorage.dll and ProManager.dll).
Detects the loading or file presence of known suspicious or potentially malicious kernel drivers, specifically 'alinubx.sys' and 'ccprotect.sys', which are associated with unauthorized system-level activity or potential rootkit behavior.
Detects process injection behavior by monitoring for the usage of specific Windows API functions (NtAllocateVirtualMemory, NtCreateThreadEx, NtProtectVirtualMemory, NtWriteVirtualMemory, NtOpenProcess) frequently used by adversaries to execute malicious code within the context of a legitimate process.
